HR Services Coordinator

Job Description Summary

Responsible for responding to colleagues’ questions and inquiries about benefits and other HR programs and issues. Researches and resolves routine policy and transactional questions related to the use of the HR policies and practices. Uses procedures, policy manuals, knowledge base and other reference materials to assist in answering colleague inquiries and resolving issues.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Acts as a primary point of contact in the HR Service Center for basic HR related inquiries via the HR Service Center Line and Case Management System.
  • Interacts with customers via telephone to answer questions and provide assistance in the completion of human resources transactions.
  • Promotes self service capabilities by providing guidance, tip sheets and other resources to further support colleagues.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to colleagues on HR and Benefits programs.
  • Documents all contacts and outcomes within the HR Service Center’s case management system.
  • Escalates more complex questions to subject matter experts on the team for assistance and resolution.
  • Completes HR transactions in Workday as required.
  • Works on projects of limited to moderate complexity in a support role.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures that all HR Service Center quality standards are met.

Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with general HR and Benefits functions
  • Ability to assess situations, think critically and problem solve
  • Knowledge of human resource management systems is preferred, with Workday experience a plus.  Must be proficient in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be able to anticipate and meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Time management skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to prioritize are critical.
  • Able to work independently, but also be able to work with a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for success in this position, as are strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
