South Shore Hospital is a charitable, not-for-profit provider of emergency, maternity, neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, cancer, cardiovascular, orthopedic, trauma and critical care services.
South Shore Medical Center
South Shore Medical Center is a not-for-profit, multi-specialty medical practice of more than 100 providers engaged in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, surgery and obstetrics/gynecology. South Shore Medical Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of South Shore Physician Ambulatory Enterprise.
South Shore NeuroSpine
South Shore NeuroSpine is a medical practice providing care for patients with acute and chronic conditions of the brain, spine and nervous system. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of South Shore Physician Ambulatory Enterprise.
South Shore Visiting Nurse Association
South Shore Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is a charitable, not-for-profit, Medicare-certified agency providing home health care services, including skilled nursing, specialty disease management programs, physical, occupational and speech therapy, home health aide and medical social work to adults and children at home.
Hospice of the South Shore
Hospice of the South Shore is a charitable, not-for-profit, Medicare-certified hospice program, offering compassionate home health care services to support terminally ill patients and their families.
Home & Health Resources
Home & Health Resources is a private-duty home health care program providing homemaker, personal care aide, certified home health aide, childcare aide and nursing services for individuals of all ages.
South Shore Health System Foundation
South Shore Health System Foundation generates philanthropic support to advance South Shore Health System’s charitable mission.
The Friends of South Shore Health System
The Friends of South Shore Health System is a membership organization whose purpose is to advance South Shore Health System’s mission. Members of the Friends volunteer to advance the good health of the region through community outreach and educational programs, fundraising events and social opportunities. The Friends is a program of South Shore Health System Foundation.
Health Provider Services Organization
Health Provider Services Organization (HPSO) is a not-for-profit organization that aligns the interests of our community, our physicians and our Health System. HPSO’s priorities are strategic planning, physician leadership development and the clinical integration of patient care to improve health care access, quality, availability and efficiency.
South Shore Physician Hospital Organization
South Shore Physician Hospital Organization is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1994 to provide managed care health insurance contracting and administrative services for its two organizational members: South Shore Hospital and the Physicians Organization of the South Shore (POSS).
Physicians Organization of the South Shore
Physicians Organization of the South Shore is a not-for-profit organization led by a physician-only Board of Directors. POSS was created because managed care health insurance contracts require individual physicians to join larger groups of providers who agree to work together to better coordinate how patient care is delivered. POSS represents primary and specialty care physicians, as well as advance practice clinicians, all of whom are on South Shore Hospital’s Medical Staff.
South Shore Physician Ambulatory Enterprise
South Shore Physician Ambulatory Enterprise is a not-for-profit organization that employs and engages physicians, advanced practice clinicians and ambulatory providers to focus on improving the patient experience across the health care continuum. The organization exists to organize, coordinate and integrate employed physicians, advanced practice clinicians and other ambulatory care providers into a broader system of health care to benefit the community with the goal of improving quality, reducing the cost of care and providing a better patient care experience.
South Shore Property
South Shore Property is a not-for-profit holding company of medically related services and properties, including the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital.

Boston Children’s Hospital
South Shore Hospital’s neonatal intensive care, pediatric emergency, inpatient pediatric services and outpatient pediatric clinics are provided in association with physicians from this world-leading children’s hospital.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital
South Shore Hospital’s Breast Care Center, cardiology, reproductive endocrinology, gynecological oncology, neurology, urogynecology, stroke care and a surgical residency program are provided in association with physicians from Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
World leading cancer care and support is available at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital.
