Job Description Summary
The Senior Data Analyst position is based in Weymouth, MA. Candidates must reside in MA, RI, NH or CT to be considered. Under the direction of the Manager of Performance Analytics, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making within the South Shore Health Integrated Delivery Network (SSH IDN). This role focuses on analyzing healthcare data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize performance, improve contract analytics, and support leadership in making data-driven decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will play a key role in interpreting data to support operational improvements, developing performance reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance managed care and hospital contract efficiency. This position requires strong analytical thinking, data interpretation skills, and the ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across all SSH IDN data sources by adhering to established validation and reconciliation processes.
• Manage and Analyze claims, clinical, and financial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Develop reports and dashboards to assess and analyze utilization, cost trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for managed care agreements.
• Support contract performance analysis by providing insights into cost drivers, efficiency opportunities, and operational enhancements.
• Work closely with IDN leadership teams to support distribution programs and strategic initiatives with data-driven insights.
• Utilize Arcadia, Experian, Epic, and other platforms to monitor contract performance and identify areas for operational enhancement.
• Assist in vendor management, including issue resolution, troubleshooting, and maintaining data quality standards.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and business intelligence reports to support performance tracking and decision-making.
• Work with Power BI, QuickSight, or similar BI tools to create dynamic, interactive reports that provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven strategies align with organizational goals and priorities.
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and new data analysis methodologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to continuously improve technical and analytical skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
5-10 years of experience in healthcare analytics, data management, or related fields.
Required additional Knowledge and Abilities
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, QuickSight, and other reporting tools with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience managing contract analytics, hospital and managed care data, and performance measurement.
• Knowledge of claims and clinical data structures, with experience integrating multiple data sources.
• Familiarity with Arcadia or similar population health platforms preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
