Exercise Physiologist (per-diem)

Job Description Summary

The Pulmonary Rehab Exercise Physiologist performs pulmonary rehabilitation functions to facilitate patient pulmonary fitness. Participates in process of assisting the patient with pulmonary risk factor reduction. This is a per-diem position.

Job Description

Essential Functions

1. Admission and Evaluation
Conducts Intake Evaluations on a weekly basis as assigned to meet patient needs in accordance with the established standards of care and practice.

2. Treatment
Conducts exercise program with assigned patients according to established treatment plan in accordance with established standards of care and practice.


3. Documentation
Completes all documentation of services per department standards


4. Discharge
Demonstrates timely discharge from treatment with appropriate documentation

5. Billing
Enters daily charges in a timely and accurate manner

6. Productivity
Demonstrates behaviors supportive of departmental standards for productivity

7. Embraces technological solutions to work processes and practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education - Preferred

Baccalaureate or higher degree in physical therapy, exercise science, or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

Required Classes/Skills -

BLS - Basic Life Support

Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities

Knowledge and experience in techniques of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Knowledge in exercise physiology, exercise testing, exercise prescription, group leadership, and monitoring techniques.
