Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Environmental Services staff while covering as the Lead Environmental Services position.
Job Description
Essential Functions
1. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Environmental Services and within specific guidelines and standard procedures, continuously inspects and observes all areas of the facility which require Environmental Services.
2. As a working lead person, allocates work to the Environmental Services staff and continuously inspects these accomplishments to ensure conformance with standards of cleanliness when leading the shift.
3. Ensures that all assignments are completed in a timely fashion and conveys results to the Supervisor or Manager Environmental Services.
4. Performs all duties of the Environmental Services Aide classification up to and including project work, discharge room cleaning, covering schedules when needed, etc.
5. Performs work of equal skill and responsibility as directed. May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility when the work load of the department requires.
6. Serves as the communication line between the varied shifts.
7. As a working lead person, sets an example as an outstanding worker, in compliance with department and Hospital policies.
