MUST HAVE AMBULATORY ONCOLOGY and/or SURGICAL EXPERIENCE
Receiving general direction from the Executive Director of Cancer Care, the Operations Manager of Cancer Care will oversee the Breast Care Center, Multi-Specialty Services, and the Inpatient Palliative Care Consult Program. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation and efficient functioning of the Breast Care Center, Multi-Specialty Clinic, and Palliative Care Program. Drawing on a broad understanding of Hospital and physician group practices and policies, the Operations Manager will display a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. The Operations Manager will collaborate closely with physicians and the Executive Director of Cancer Care on the Breast Care Center, Multi-Specialty Clinic and Palliative Care Programs to continuously assess and manage a wide range of objectives, including operational, personnel, practice management, professional and hospital billing, facilities and systems, programmatic development, and will assist with long range planning and project development. The Operations Manager works with various physicians and their practice staff as well as management to ensure a quality-based, customer-orientated work flow. The Operations Manager possesses a thorough knowledge of current JCAHO and HIPPA standards. The Operations Manager will use discretion and judgment to recognize priorities, complet tasks and handle confidential information.

MA RN license and BSN required. Five (5) years health care Practice Management experience, preferably in an outpatient/hospital setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, third party reimbursement, and customer service training. Previous supervisory experience required. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and deadline pressures. Skills to work efficiently and effectively is all aspects of position.  Ability to manage the day to day operations, assist to establish and maintain policies and procedures, monitor statistics, manage patient flow and front desk operations, coordinate space and infrastructure issues and ensure effective  coordination of training programs.  Recruit, train and supervise staff and ensure that performance evaluations, payroll, employee changes and other HR transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.  Ability to provide support, direction and development to staff.  Ability to identify issues/projects and initiate plans to address forthrightness and integrity.  Work with the Director to effectuate financial and analytical skills, including ability to develop and monitor the Practice budget, manage front end and billing, and review and address billing issues and statistics to ensure revenue maximization.  Must possess excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a good command of the English language, including medical and scientific terminology.  Must possess excellent computer skill.  Must possess knowledge in all aspects of safety and ability to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
