Hospice RN Team Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Hospice RN Supervisor Nurse has 24–hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the Hospice Department related to clinical care.  The Hospice Supervisor is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating all day to day nursing patient care services.  The Supervisor is involved and supports the Quality/Performance Improvement initiatives, assists in the Orientation & training of new nursing staff and understands and supports the Reimbursement issues of the Hospice Department.

Qualifications:
BSN Required.  Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience.  Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.  Experience in providing nursing care in the home.  Demonstrated competence in home health care.  Demonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency.  Evidence of this includes, but is not limited to, effective communication skills, ability to deal well with people, problem solving, confrontation/resolution issues, motivation of others, and planning, organizing and directing the activities of others.  Experience in end-of-life preferable.
