Applications Analyst - Epic Resolute (Billing)

Epic Resolute Applications Analyst

Reporting to the Access & Revenue Systems Applications Manager, the Application Analyst will be assigned to support  Resolute Billing.

Position Summary

Participates in the development of workflows, system configurations, change documentation and training staff on Epic application functionality.  Analyzes procedures and problems within manual/automated health care systems; reports findings and when applicable recommends options for resolutions.  Formulates system scope and objectives.  Acts as a liaison with all areas of the hospital, utilizing the software application, conducting meetings to determine future enhancements, and preparing and maintaining related documentation.  Provide ongoing support and participate in on-call coverage as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or sciences as well as RN, RRT, RPH, ARNP, and PA degrees are preferred but equivalent experience is also strongly desirable.  Healthcare clinical or business operations background in areas such as billing, scheduling, access services, health information management or other support functions a plus.

Current Epic certification and work experience in HB Claims, HB Resolute and/or PB Resolute highly desirable.  Prior Epic experience and/or certification in another application preferred.  Qualified candidates with related experience would be expected to obtain required certification within approximately 3-6 months of start date.  Training to obtain required certification will include travel to Wisconsin when classes are available. 

Knowledge and experience with health care information systems or knowledge of processes and workflows in business and clinical settings in any of the following areas: inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, access and revenue applications, combined with advanced computer skills. 

Flexible team player with strong project management and organizational skills.  Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in terms understandable to end-users, strong written and verbal communication skills to include the creation of project documentation and technical writing, ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on workflow design, problem solving and other projects that support business needs. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills are necessary.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
