Care Progression
As a Case Manager Specialist, you’ll work with RN Case Managers and our multi-disciplinary patient care team to optimize discharge planning for patients, while also sharing responsibility for educating patients and their family members.
Clinical Documentation
Clinical Documentation is an integral function at South Shore Health. The CDI team, composed of RNs with a coding background, reviews patient charts upon admission to ensure accurate documentation. We also work with the physicians or other care providers on specific units throughout the hospital.
The Compliance department supports the entire health system in the areas of privacy, coding accuracy, compliance, regulatory requirements and ethics. Team members work with multidisciplinary groups throughout the health system, ensuring policies are followed and that behavior across the system reflects our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Information Systems
Information Systems’ daily activities and responsibilities are the backbone of everything that transpires across the health system, which keep us on the leading edge of technology. In many ways, we are ahead of the curve, and we’ve been named one of Hospitals & Health Networks’ Most Wired. We’re the ideal size for you to hone your skills and become a technology expert without feeling niche-focused. Roles include Applications Analysts and Specialists (EPIC, Meditech, Hyland, 3M, SoftBank and MyTime Server); Engineers/Administrators (Server, Cisco/Avaya); Report Writers; Business Intelligence Developers; DBAs (SQL, Cache); Security Analysts; Service Desk Analysts; and Field Support Analysts.

Quality Management
Our dedicated Quality Management team, composed of both clinical and non-clinical professionals, is responsible for the integration of performance improvement and quality management throughout the health system. Whether it is designing and developing systems to support our strategic plan, establishing performance improvement metrics and safety goals, or reviewing and reporting on the clinical review of medical records, the Quality team is an integral part of the health system’s success.
